The technology industry is improving the way we live and work which makes me feel excited and satisfied.

Once a month, fusionSpan will share the talent and hard work of the people that we call our team. From delivery, consulting, operations, and more – we pause to get a little bit personal, showcasing the faces behind the technology solutions that we work on each day. This month we meet fusionSpan Data Analyst, Haoyue Zhang.

What was your first job? Tell us about it?

This is my first job and I’m very glad to have this great opportunity to work as a Data Analyst. And when I joined fusionSpan, I was the first Data Analyst which was a challenge for me, but everyone in our team is friendly and helped me a lot, I also learned a lot from them.

What’s your favorite part about working in the technology industry? What drew you to it?

As a growing industry, there are more opportunities and challenges. Working in this industry, we can keep learning new knowledge and skills. And the technology industry is improving the way we live and work which makes me feel excited and satisfied.

What are the main responsibilities of your current role? What do you enjoy most about your position?

My main responsibilities are data migration using different database tools and data analysis. Now, I’m also responsible for building and updating our new data model which improved our data migration process. And data cleaning, which is not a favorite part for some data analysts, but somehow I find satisfaction in organizing data. The process is not difficult but needs patience, also sometimes it is hard to find an easier way to solve the problem.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?

Traveling with my family and friends, and playing with Lego which is a great way for me to focus on one thing and relieve stress.

Who has influenced you most in your professional path/career?

I think my aunt influenced me most because she was the first person who made me realize it’s fortunate and awesome to have a job I really enjoy, and that although we may encounter challenges, we have the power to overcome it.

Haoyue is a huge asset to the team at fusionSpan, and we’re grateful to have her many talents and skills. Check out the fusionSpan careers page to see if you may be the next team member we feature!
