Running from session to session with a jam-packed notebook? Fine, as long as you’re enjoying it! Sitting with new connections on the lawn, nary a session in sight? Also fine, just as long as you’re enjoying it!
Think of this guide as your companion: a blend of practical tips, curated recommendations, and invitations to connect with peers so you can make the most your time without burning out.
What We Wish We Knew for Our First (or Second) Time at Dreamforce
Dreamforce veterans will tell you the same thing: preparation makes the difference. And if you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.
A few logistical essentials:
- Download the Salesforce Events App
It’s your lifeline for schedules, maps, and last-minute updates. Plus, fun side quests and community events. - Comfortable Shoes are a Non-Negotiable
You’ll walk more than you expect – campuses, keynotes, meetups, and after-hours events. Sneakers are the way to go. - Dress in Layers
San Francisco weather is famously unpredictable. A morning chill can turn into sunny outdoor lunches and cool evening patio sessions. - Reserve Your Seat or Show Up Early
If there’s a session you really want to see, make sure to reserve a seat (if available) or join the queue ~30 minutes before the published start time. Popular sessions will absolutely fill up. - Don’t Stress Missing a Session
Many sessions are recorded on Salesforce+. If you miss one, catch it later.
