Website Highlights

A new global navigation allows customers to easily navigate between all the AAS sites. The site has new search functionality and intuitive navigation to make it easy for customers to find exactly what they want.

A News slider on the homepage will allow AAS to provide news and updates in a visually appealing way to their customers and a Twitter feed and AAS Nova feed allow for dynamic content that will keep customers engaged. Powered by WordPress, the new website is also easier for staff to manage and update.

About AAS and Journals

The American Astronomical Society (AAS), established in 1899 and based in Washington, DC, is the major organization of professional astronomers in North America. Its membership of about 7,000 individuals also includes physicists, mathematicians, geologists, engineers, and others whose research and educational interests lie within the broad spectrum of subjects comprising contemporary astronomy. The mission of the AAS is to enhance and share humanity’s scientific understanding of the universe.

The AAS owns and operates its flagship journals, The Astronomical Journal, The Astrophysical Journal, The Astrophysical Journal Letters, and The Astrophysical Journal Supplements through its Board of Trustees, Publications Committee, and Executive Office for the benefit of the AAS community.
