The advice in this bulletin is intended for anyone who uses a Windows computer, for work or personal. Macs are still safe, as Apple is continuing support for now.
As of yesterday, Apple has ceased Windows security support for the Quicktime media player. Shortly afterwards, the application was hacked and two critical zero-day vulnerabilities were found. To prevent a widespread virus outbreak in your workplace or home, we highly recommend that you remove Quicktime from all Windows computers (workstations and servers) ASAP.
Quicktime may be removed by opening the Control Panel, opening the Programs list, and selecting the associated Uninstall/Remove option.
If you or your company requires any assistance with this cyber-security effort, please email the fusionSpan team at .
